Scouts
To celebrate 50 years of Lauwersmeer, several photographers were invited to capture the unique atmosphere of the area.
Each year, Lauwersmeer hosts the largest scouting camp in Europe, drawing thousands of young people to its wide-open landscapes. Inspired by this annual event, I chose to focus my lens on the world of scouting, its energy, rituals, and connection to nature.
The resulting photo series has been published in magazines and exhibited in the Lauwersmeer region, offering a visual narrative that blends the spirit of youth with the beauty of this remarkable landscape.
8-18
I use a bible text as inspiration for this series.
All models are between 8 and 18 years old.
Romans 8:18
Present Suffering and Future Glory
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Grunn
I was born in Groningen, and this series is a personal tribute to the place where I come from.
The landscapes here are wide, open, and quietly beautiful, filled with space, light, and a unique stillness that stays with you.
To bring this atmosphere to life, I photographed people I know, friends and acquaintances who were kind enough to be part of the project. Their presence adds a human layer to the vast northern scenery, grounding the images in familiarity and connection.
